My products:

1. Coach Poppy Purse with flower petals around and whitewashed wood backdrop to create a garden scene to go with the butterfly purse.

2. Women’s high heels or girls  baby doll shoes positioned on a golden/brown footstool (I would like to shoot this outdoors).

3. Men’s tie rolled up and cuffed with small fork and knife inside over a fancy plate.

4. Dove white bar of soap  or any brand soap that stacks well on a white or cream towel with mint leaves or fresh flower petals.

5. Several belts around an old plank of dark wood standing straight up (horizontal).

6. Tall beat up black and pink gym shoes with shoe laces /wood backdrop or white washed textured background.

7. Butterfly jewelry propped upward with necklace underneath on organic environment (grass, sand or water) I think just one butterfly will do the trip after practice shoot.

8. Total Effects Mascara with fake eyelashes  on white seamless paper or tabletop. This is a very clean, simple classy look.

Here are my next assignment sketches. I have another idea to find a skeleton and have him holding trying to drink it but the drink just goes right through the skeleton bones. The only thing is finding a skeleton in a short period of time!  I”m going to check at a few local stores/doctor offices to see if it is possible because I love this theme.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks to say the least! I completed both assignments for commercial II with little time to spare. With all the hustle and bustle it’s been overwhelming, hectic and somewhat of a motion-blur or at least I feel like I’m the one always on the move~

The first images is my Beverage/Wine/Spirit assignment. I had a lemon drop theme with lemonade and here is the final image. I shot this in under 30 mins so I am pleased that I was able to get the assignment completed but overall will try to up my game on the next beverage or assignment. This was a more simple shot compared to many of my classmates. I wanted to venture out to the splashes and spills like many of my peers, however, after dealing with time restraints it was not feasible to re-shoot as I had planned. Don’t get me wrong, I stand by my work and I am proud of my accomplishments, I just know deep down I can dig deep to explore more creative images.

The second image is my “Mimic The Master” which was not my first choice but here it is. I initially wanted to photograph three wine glasses that had shape, dimension and appeal. The unfortunately story is that I could only find 2 of the 3 required wine glasses in the times available. So after looking high and low for the glassware I decided to take the everyday drink from many Atlantans’ (Home of Coca-Cola). For now, take a look and leave your comment.

I wonder, am I being to ambitious for wanting to try to do some of the liquid images? I would really like to mimic the image with the red spoon and white liquid with blue gel or background along with the splash of water & fruit. I have some ideas of how but truly don’t know exactly how to execute it just yet…

I have also included photography work from I can Aaron Doughtery (black background with light coming from behind to light glasses.

My goal is to mimic one of these masters to perfection~

Let me explain, I realize what your grand idea in your mind and on paper may not always be executed as you’d plan. I put forth the effort of shooting with this lemon head theme and it just didn’t’ go over well or have a strong presence.

I set up the computer and I used the Canon 5D Mark II using tether so I could view the images as I took them. Next, I set up my my lighting. I used three lights (Large soft box placed at the top right, light underneath  and also light with dish from behind.  After that I set up my subject, glass of water with lemon heads at the bottom ( don’t put lemon heads inside until your ready to shoot) I spill lemon heads over the white table top with fresh cut lemons near the glass. I used monochromatic colors and use a straw with one lemon.

While shooting, my delimma was the gray line appeared across the center of my subject. It should be completely white in the background unless I use a gel or something in that nature. However, the background wasn’t correct. After a several attempts of moving the lights around in the back and underneath me and my classmates had a meeting of the minds and decided we needed to diffuse the light underneath. By gosh it work! (gray crease is gone and background is white as show.)  Of course, be patient as this may take some time to fix(easier to see if tether while shooting) The other issue was my subject matter….it just seem to be missing something to give the image punch or that it factor!.  Needless to say, I will reshoot the assignment.  I refuse to just turn in any old thing, really? this is the last year of my program and I have high standards for myself and my peers. 

Spring semester is underway … It’s really excited thus far, we learn about “Cinemagraphes” and I’m hooked!!  It’s a lot to putting them together but I’m up for the challenge. For more info and to view a few popular cinemagraphes visit the link: http://cinemagraphs.com/

I’ve finally had time to regroup from last semester. It was brutal, seriously. I thank God for giving me strength, patience and sustaining me throughout all of the hustle & bustle. To give a sense of my accomplishments just take a few minutes to look over final exam/projects for December 2011.

I recently attending an leadership program at KSU (Atlanta,GA.) with Georgia Blazers wheelchair basketball team. This was an amazing opportunity for all the kids to be adventurous. The mission: The great outdoors and a Challenge Corner which included high ropes course. All of the kids, most wheelchair bound had a blast swinging. Boy~oh~boy was it a sight to see (witness).

Thanks to Kennesaw State University Health, Physical Education/Sport Science Departments and student volunteers. A big THANK YOU to the GA Blaze Sports for allowing me to capture such amazing images and priceless expressions!  This was the first time for many of the children to embark on this challenge. All of the children took to the ropes with a brave heart, shining spirit, cheering teammates and a will to conquer the great outdoors. Way 2 Go….Blaze Sports & KSU for an unforgettable day!
